Another month has gone by and we were back at Eastwell Pavillion for the second time in a day for the Joint Networking Lunch with East Kent Women in Business. As always the lunch was very well attended with new and familiar faces showing why these joint events work so well.
Jane Wallace from House of Colour and East Kent Women in Business had assured us of a good turn out from our co-hosts. It would seem that the Chambers popular Womens Forum has found some much appreciated new contacts to network with.
Our Hotellier members were well represented with friendly faces from The Russell in Maidstone (Emma Ransley) Ashford International (Jacki Moore and Deirdre Billing) Village Hotel, Maidstone (Nicola Meredith and Kate Powell) and Mercure Hythe Imperial (Maryanne Burden) I hope they all found the lunch and the setting to be up to their high standards, I certainly enjoyed the splendid lunch laid on for us by Eastwell Pavillion.
The highlight of the Lunch forum for me though was Julie Pierce from Rich Picture LTD. Her honest and down to earth account of the Trek in South Africa she undertook last year in aid of breast cancer care was both amusing and heart warming.
What a fantastic introduction into the Chamber family this was for new members present, an example of the power of networking and of how the Chamber and the East Kent Women in Business group are working tirelessly to promote Women in Business throughout Kent. I look forward to seeing you all again next time and for those of you yet to attend your first lunch please contact Maxine at the Chamber for details of the up coming events. maxine@kentinvictachamber.co.uk
