Hatten Wyatt becomes one of the few firms of solicitors in the area to offer Family Mediation
Family mediation is slowly becoming the preferred method to resolve and prevent couple disputes due to recent changes in government thinking. Mediation is a voluntary and confidential means of couples talking to each other in the presence of an independent professional which may help them with joint decision making without the use of courts.
The growing awareness and need for this service among couples prompted two of Hatten Wyatt’s Family Solicitors, Carole Webb, a senior solicitor and Gail Brooks, to undergo further training with Resolution to become qualified as family lawyer mediators.
Hatten Wyatt have provided legal advice concerning family and business interests to Kent and further afield for over 165 years and this announcement further supports the growing range of high quality services the firm offer their clients.
Hatten Wyatt mediators are highly experienced trained professionals who will provide couples with the tools to untangle the issues around family breakdown, establish new ways of communicating and help them to help their children make the necessary adjustments to family life.
Carole Webb, Family Associate Solicitor comments “I have been a solicitor for over 18 years and have advised clients on a wide range of areas at what is probably the most stressful time of their lives. We are therefore delighted to widen our range of services and be in the position to offer couples mediation, which we hope will assist them in reaching their own decisions and proposals for moving forward.”
