For over 50 years, Signtsavers has been combating blindness in developing countries and supporting people who are blind. Global statistics show that every 5 seconds a person goes blind, 37 million people in the world today are blind, 9 out of ten of these people live in the developing world and a staggering 75% of this blindness can be prevented or cured. By supporting their work you can help them in their continuing flight to combat needless blindness.
Signtsavers support reaches those who need it most, individuals living in some of the poorest countries of the world.
Local marathon runner, Damon Elsworth is holding a charity ball for this very worthwhile charity on the above date and would be delighted if yourself, friends, family and colleagues would join him in raising funds.
He would like to invite you to attend the Black Tie Ball at the Best Western Russell Hotel in Maidstone at a cost of just £30.00 per person to include a drinks reception, 3 course gala dinner, entertainment, auction and raffle.
This promises to be a night to remember whilst at the same time supporting a fantastic charity.
