What a fantastic start to a new initiative launched by the Chamber to encourage local networking.  We were delighted to see so many of you made the effort, especially those of you that are yet to join!  A very big ‘Thank You’ to Costas our host for the evening at ‘The Londa Bistro & Brasserie’ for the fantastic spread and very generous bar, Costas you really must ring the till next time but thank you from us all anyway, and the food was lovely too.  

It was great to see Carolyn and Natalie from Big Cat Print & Design showing the way to Tanya from Catalyst, who I am sure really enjoyed her first networking event.  I would also like to thank Andrew from Order Online Now & Yvonne from  Tanagerine Moon for highlighting this event themselves and it worked, we had a great turnout and I can only see this getting more and more popular. 

The enthusiasm in the room really struck me and I am proud to be part of something so exciting Alastair & Michelle from Zein Marketing, Gillian & Debbie from Major Occupational Health are just two of the new companies out there that I know are going to do so well and I admire there determination and passion about what they are doing and Iam pleased that the Chamber is there to help them along the way.  

Well done to Print Junction in securing their new premises in Elwick Road, Sonja you must be delighted.  It  was also great to see the two John’s and Chris from StrategaA - I’m sure this was their first outing with the Chamber and I hope you enjoyed the evening and picked up some good leads.  However, we all know the power of networking is about building relationships and contacts and although we may not generate a direct link immediately, it is surprising just what pops up in the future!  That’s my philosophy for the day anyway!

Philip from the Print Room has a temporary telephone number which is 01233 214446 – just in case anyone has being trying to get hold off him.  Problems with good old BT I believe! I understand his old number will be back in action within the next 10 days. 

So to finish, Costas also runs the The New Chimneys Pub at Godinton Park, so if you would like to say hello he is doing some fantastic deals, both at the pub and Londa where we were last night, why not visit and sample his fine fare at either venue, you are sure of a very warm welcome.

Next Ashford After Hours Club is the 5th May, same place same time.  Make sure you bring a friend as everyone is welcome and hopefully the sun will be shining, summer is on its way.
