BIS and DCMS to review business access to broadband

Posted on Friday 18th March, 2016 by

The Department for Business (BIS) and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) are to conduct a joint review of business broadband following concerns raised by industry that existing services may be inadequate and too expensive to satisfy future demand.

The wide-ranging review will look to improve business access to broadband and will explore how Government can increase the level of affordable, high-quality fibre broadband available to business across the UK. Another priority will be exploring how to facilitate choice and competition in the market, with a view to delivering a better service at a reduced cost to business.
